Assistant Teacher (applicant pool)

Start Date: July 31, 2025

Minimum Qualifications: 

• Hold an Associate's Degree or higher OR
• 48 semester hours of college coursework OR  
• high school diploma/GED AND passing score on ACT WorkKeys Assessment*

*To meet WorkKeys requirements, Assistant Teachers must meet the following criteria:
A Reading for Information score of 4, an Applied Mathematics score of 4, and a Writing or Business Writing score of 3; OR WorkKeys Silver Level certification: Workplace Documents score of 4, Applied Mathematics score of 4, and Writing or Business Writing score of 3.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working with elementary students
• Commitment to the development of the whole child and willingness to support diverse needs
• Commitment to the Union community and Union schools community

Terms of Employment: 187 days annually

Salary/Wage: $18,000/year
